5 Reasons BlackBerry Storm Is Blown Over By iPhone
BlackBerry Storm by Research in Motion (RIM) is the first-ever, touch-screen device, set to hit stores on Friday, Nov. 21 and this device will be compared heavily with the iPhone. Both cost are similar on a 2 year contract and they work on the 3G network.
Here are our 5 reasons why iPhone is better than the BlackBerry Storm:
(1) Safari Browser: The BlackBerry Storm browser is pale in comparison with the Safari browser found on the iPhone. The reason is because what you see on the Safari browser is the similar to what you experience on your desktop.
(2) Wi-Fi Support: The BlackBerry has NO Wi-Fi support. With the expansive 3G network, there is no way users can enjoy free Wi-Fi spots or cheaper broadband for internet.
(3) Full QWERTY Keyboard: iPhone has the full QWERTY Keyboard in landscape or portrait view while the BlackBerry Storm uses the sure type keyboard with multiple characters on one key.
(4) iTunes Store / iTunes / iPod: Well you will not find these great features and functionality with the BlackBerry Storm. No integration what so ever.
(5) iPhone Is Second Generation: BlackBerry Storm is the new kid on the block while the iPhone 3G has been tested by users since the first generation.
Well you want push email through Outlook, you can get that on the iPhone too. So it is your decision to choose which is the better smartphone. For us the clear winner is the iPhone 3G.

Absolutely, if people are looking for this to be a blackberry Iphone they are going to be sorely mistaken. I just wish IPhone would continue to improve the email functionality. I still don’t find the email portion as reliable as my blackberry. Even with the push email enabled, sometimes the IPhone doesn’t notify me when an email arrives. Also calendar integration is still lacking.

I just got a Storm today and finally got rid of my iPhone. I switched to the iphone from a blackberry and defintly missed “instant emails” The fact of the matter is the Storm does everything the iphone does and more. It has a better camera 3.2 mega pixal (with auto focus), A higher resolution. The screen the way it clicks when you type, there are definetly less errors. You can also send picture messages. It will convert your existing itunes while giving you unlimited access to music from raphsidy. Emails are INSTANT! There are many more awesome features. By far having both, the Storm is 10X better the the 3g iphone. I suggest try it out before you knock it.
