Prosthetics Oscar Pistorius Qualify For Olympics

Oscar Pistorius, a double amputee South African sprinter has been given the go ahead in competing in Beijing Olympics 2008. What he will be wearing is a mechanical Cheetah prosthetics which acts as springs. The Cheetah prosthetics return energy in maximum speed sprinting and this will give Pistorius the advantage to keep up with a few able-bodied sprinters while expending about 25 percent less energy. The controversy here is the introduction of bionics in the playing field of Olympics.
