Troika installed Palindrome, a kinetic sign for the Victoria & Albert Museum, UK. From the website: Troika’s Palindrome, based on the existing V&A logo is made of three independently revolving parts. With each half turn the logo deconstructs and reconnects itself forming a playful palindrome.

Barnes & Noble Expanding In-Store Nook Displays

Due to the success of Apple Stores, Barnes & Noble is also trying to capture the atmosphere by introducing the in-store Nook displays. This will encourage users to browse through their Nook e-reader while inside the store. B&N has called this Nook Boutique. Will they get ahead of Amazon’s Kindle by doing so? We hope so, as Amazon is purely online and none of the customers have a chance of holding a Kindle before buying it.

BlackPad: RIM’S Answer to Apple’s iPad

Research In Motion (RIM) the maker of Blackberry is about to come up with BlackPad touch-screen tablet. BlackPad will feature 9.7 inch screen, back and front cameras, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and access to Blackberry App World. Can it compete with Apple’s iPad as shown above running Pulse.

The tablet will retail at $499 for the basic model.

YouTube Now Gives Users 15 Mins Upload Time

YouTube has listened to user feedback and have added another 5 mins to the 10 minutes upload time for videos.

From YouTube blog:

Porsche 918 Spyder Is Super Green

Porsche is starting production of its 918 Spyder hybrid sports car which can hit 100kph in just 3.2 second. It is powered by a 500-horsepower V8 engine and electric drive-systems that enable the vehicle to run up to 25 kilometers on electric power. The price tag is rumored to be over $600,000. Will you buy one? You can in early 2013.

Amazon Reveals Kindle 3

Amazon is releasing the latest updated graphite coloured Kindle 3 for $139. Not sure how this is going to compete with Apple iPad, Amazon is still using a non colour LCD screen. The price of the new e-reader will be $139 for a Wi-Fi version and $189 for a model with both 3G and Wi-Fi.

Apple’s new 27-inch LED Cinema Display comes with 2560×1440 resolution and 60% more screen real estate than the 24-inch LED Cinema Display. The display offers a built-in iSight video camera, a microphone and speakers, a USB 2.0 hub, and a universal MagSafe connector.

From Apple: The new, larger 27-inch LED Cinema Display features a beautiful 16:9 edge-to-edge glass display on an aluminum stand with an adjustable hinge that makes tilting the display almost effortless.
