Twitter has faced the biggest hack ever with 250,000 active user passwords stolen by hackers. Security experts warned that the hackers had possession of a potentially valuable cache of information, as many people’s Twitter passwords are identical with their financial passwords.

Twitter has reset the passwords and revoked session tokens for the affected accounts. Those affected will receive an email from Twitter notifying them that they will have to reset their password.

This news demonstrates the fragility of new technology and its associated security systems. As estate property management agents providing management services to leasehold and freehold property management companies secure systems are essential to protect leaseholder details and fincial controls.
Lets hope that improvements can be made to security systems all round before serious damage or infury results.
