Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid Driven
New info has emerged for the Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid car, under the hood it will be a V8, 3.4 liters, 500 HP propulsed by the same three electrical engines. This hybrid car has four modes. E-Drive is a pure electric mode which allow the car to go for 16 miles. Hybrid Mode uses both the internal engine and also electric propulsion. Sport Hybrid uses electric power to boost the engine giving more the power to the rear wheels. Race Hybrid mode uses a push-to-pass button using battery and electric for passing.
Porsche is starting production of its 918 Spyder hybrid sports car which can hit 100kph in just 3.2 second. It is powered by a 500-horsepower V8 engine and electric drive-systems that enable the vehicle to run up to 25 kilometers on electric power. The price tag is rumored to be over $600,000.
