Apple CEO Steve Jobs won’t be delivering his usual keynote at next month’s MacWorld, a revelation that’s speculates about Jobs’ health and Apple’s succession plans. In fact MacWorld 2009 will be Apple’s last involvement with the conference.

So there will be no Steve Jobs announcing Snow Leopard, Mac Mini, 17″ MacBook Pros and the mini iPhone 3G. Instead we will have Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, delivering the opening keynote for this year’s Macworld Conference & Expo.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is now checking if fake report on Steve Jobs health is created to manipulate Apple stocks. The report on Jobs heart failure came from CNN’s citizen journalist website.

CNN has now removed that report with this statement, iReport.com is an entirely user-generated site where the content is determined by the community. Content that does not comply with Community Guidelines will be removed. After the content in question was uploaded to iReport.com, the community brought it to our attention. Based on our Terms of Use that govern user behavior on iReport.com, the fraudulent content was removed from the site and the user’s account was disabled..

The original post from CNN: Steve Jobs was rushed to the ER just a few hours ago after suffering a major heart attack. I have an insider who tells me that paramedics were called after Steve claimed to be suffering from severe chest pains and shortness of breath. My source has opted to remain anonymous, but he is quite reliable. I haven’t seen anything about this anywhere else yet, and as of right now, I have no further information, so I thought this would be a good place to start. If anyone else has more information, please share it..

Sun has bought open-source software maker MySQL of Sweden for $1 Billion. So what is Sun going to do with this purchase.

John Dvorak from MarketWatch said that Sun Microsystems gobbling up MySQL is perhaps the worst single event he has ever witnessed in the history of tech mergers and acquisitions. His reasons lies in Sun having a bad track record with its acquisitions.

John go on further linking Oracle, strategic partner of Sun, paying the billion to kill off mySQL.

A likely story?
