Grand Theft Auto 5 was originally to be a Spring 2013 release. Instead, Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 will be released September 17, 2013. The game follows characters Michael, a family man who is living in the post Vinewood hills; Franklin, a professional automotive repo man; and Trevor, who appears to be a psychopath. The latest trailer for the game is now out.

Ouya Game Console Launching June 4 For $99

Ouya Android powered game console will release to retailers on June 4 for $99. The console allow any developer to craft inexpensive games. Based on an Android chipset, Ouya aims to keep costs low and encourage innovation in a way that traditional competitors can’t.

Ouya previously revealed their open source free to play console based around Android for $99. The Ouya team wanted $950,000 from Kickstarter. The system feature a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, Android 4.0.

IGN (94/100): A brilliant shooter that nudges the entire genre forward with innovations in both storytelling and gameplay. It trips over itself in a couple of spots, but not in any way that should keep you from embracing it with your utmost enthusiasm.

Simcity Players Can Start Downloading Free Catalog Games

SimCity when launched recently has been plagued with problems since it arrived due to server issues. The reason stems from the game requiring single-player of the game to be connected to the Internet at all times. Electronic Arts and Maxis have acknowledged the problems, blaming the issues on the game’s popularity overloading the servers that support it. The issue was so bad that the second petition when to the White House, asking the Obama administration to get involved.

While Electronic Arts might not be offering refunds to players, they are offering all purchasers a free game from EA’s Origin catalog.

Players can now download a free game of their choice such as Battlefield 3, Dead Space 3, Mass Effect 3, Bejeweled 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Plants Vs. Zombies, and SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition. Players can redeem their free game through a portal inside the Origin desktop client.

Ultima Creator Reveals Shroud Of Avatar

Richard Garriott aka Lord British, the creator of Ultima games in the 90s, return with Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues. Garriott’s Portalarium studio is asking for $1 million in funding to kick start the project with Kickstarter campaign. The game will be similar to his games in the past and also a vision into what the future of role-playing games could look like. Shroud of the Avatar will feature two distinct elements: an outdoor travel map and then third-person encounter scenarios.

The first alpha testing period will be held at the end of 2013. Check out the video discussion from Richard Garriott on his new game.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Trailer Leaked

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is supposed to be premiered on Monday but the trailer is now leaked out on the internet. Check out the trailer above.

The sixth installment of Assassin’s Creed stars a new pirate assassin and turns its focus to the Caribbean, mixing open-ended ship-based exploration and combat with land-based adventures on a number of Caribbean islands. The game will follow the sailor, privateer and Assassin Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway and grandfather of Ratonhnhaké, the playable characters of Assassin’s Creed III.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and the PC.

Sony PlayStation 4 Will Stream 4K Movies

Sony President and COO Phil Molyneux confirmed that the the PS4 will be able to stream 4K movies. A typical 4K movie download will chew up more than 100 GB of bandwidth.

Sony did not show what the new PS4 look like in the announcement but they did show off the new DualShock 4 controller for PS4. Sony has enhanced the feel of the controller joystick and the trigger button, which provides a much tighter sense of control over in-game actions. Sony also enhanced the rumble capabilities and reduced controller latency.

New features including a touchpad, share button, headphone jack, and a lightbar for simpler, more friendly identification of players. Also included a stereo camera that can sense the depth of objects in front of it.
