Apple Updates MacBook Pro With New Battery And SD Card

Apple has increased the specs of their MacBook Pro range of laptops adding li-polymer battery that offers up to seven hours of life, SD Card slot, 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and it passes the new Energy Star 5.0 specs for power efficiency.
Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing said, Across the line, all of our new MacBook Pro models now include Apple’s innovative built-in battery for up to seven hours of battery life, while staying just as thin and light as before. Starting at just $1,199, the aluminum unibody MacBook Pro is more affordable than ever and sets a new standard for environmentally friendly notebook design.

Apple Updates Entry Level MacBook Specs

Apple has released an upgraded version of the entry-level white MacBook, bumping memory, storage and priced it at $999.
The 13-inch white MacBook now specs up with a 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, hard drive storage increased from 120GB to 160GB in the upgrade. Memory has been upgraded to 2GB 800MHz DDR2 RAM from 2GB 600MHz.

Apple Responded To Microsoft’s Ad
Apple spokesman Bill Evans responded with “A PC is no bargain when it doesn’t do what you want. The one thing that both Apple and Microsoft can agree on is that everyone thinks the Mac is cool. With its great designs and advanced software, nothing matches it at any price.”.
Here are the ads if you have missed them. The first one is the Microsoft’s ‘Not cool enough to be a Mac’ Ad. And the above video is the second ad that claims truly, madly beautiful people buy PCs and not a Mac. The ad message is, “I’m technically savvy. I know what I want.” Yeah right.
How can Microsoft get it so wrong?

Apple Touch Screen Netbook Coming Soon

This is not official yet, Apple is indeed working on an entry into the netbook market and it will arrive in the third quarter this year. An article on DigiTimes has stated that WinTek will supply touch panels for Apple’s new netbook.
Wintek revealed that it is currently working with Apple to develop some new products, but it said it does not know what applications the new products are for. Wintek added that no shipment schedule has been worked out yet, but shipments are likely to begin in the second half of the year.

Asus Debut Touch Screen NetBook T91
Asustek Computer has unveiled its latest EeePc T91 netbook, with an 8.9-inch touchscreen that swivels and can even fold down to convert the device into a tablet PC. The laptop was shown to run on Vista and also Windows 7 Ultimate. Check out the video.
Macworld 2009: New 17-Inch MacBook Pro Unveiled

We have predicted Apple will release a new 17 inch unibody Apple MacBook Pro at this year’s MacWorld. Apple has now announced the new laptop with new built-in battery that delivers 8 hours of use & 1,000 recharges.
There are now two screen options, matte or gloss. The new not accessible battery is similar to MacBook Air which save space and has a new “adaptive” recharging technology.

Macworld 2009: 17 inch Unibody Apple MacBook Pro

A new 17 inch unibody Apple MacBook Pro will most likely be shown at this year’s MacWorld. The new laptop will come with a new type of battery that last longer than the current model but which isn’t easily removable.

LG Sunlight Illuminated LCD Display

LG has revealed a 14.1 inch LCD panel for notebooks that is illuminated by sunlight instead of the backlight unit when used outdoors. This sunlight LCD panel will be shown at the CES 2009. LG sunlight illuminated LCD display reduces power consumption by 75% when outdoors.

Fujitsu LifeBook With GPS And Integrated 4-inch Touchscreen

Fujitsu new 5.6-inch LifeBook U820 has a GPS receiver, plus an Intel Atom Z530 CPU, a 5.6-inch WXGA touchscreen, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 60GB 4,200RPM hard drive, Garmin Mobile PC, Ethernet, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth, WiFi and a 7 hours 4-cell battery.
The LifeBook U820 is available at prices starting at $1,049. The 8.9-inch LifeBook P1630 will start at $2,179.

Dell Announced Inspiron Mini 12

Dell has debut the hybrid of the ultraportable and netbook so called Inspiron Mini 12 in Japan. The laptop features the Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, a choice of 60 GB or 80 GB storage, 12 inch screen, Microsoft Vista Basic, 0.92-1.09 inches and 2.72 lbs. All this for under $600 and available in November.
