NASA Finds Cocaine Near Space Shuttle Discovery
NASA has sniffed out an employee getting high on cocaine in a shuttle processing hangar at Kennedy Space Center.
A NASA shuttle worker found a plastic bag of white cocaine outside a bathroom. The worker informed security and later 200 workers were tested for the drug.
Bob Cabana, a former astronaut and director of Kennedy Space Center said, This is a rare and isolated incident, and I’m disappointed that it happened, but it should not detract from the outstanding work that is being done by a dedicated team on a daily basis. We are conducting an investigation and working with center security and law enforcement officials to get to the bottom of it.
Swedish Lesbians Draining Sperm Bank
Since 2005, same sex female couples in Sweden has been given the green light to utilize state sperm banks fertility clinics, the backlog wait has grown to 18 months. Inger Bryman, Sahlgrenska’s head of gynaecology and reproductive medicine said, We had estimated an increase of around 25 couples per year after the law change. Now there are 90 couples in line.
There is also a lack of donors due to a new Swedish law that allows any sperm bank child can look for dad once they have reached 18 years of age.

Swine Flu Reached Pandemic Level

The World Health Organisation (WHO) will raise its pandemic alert level to phase 4 over the deadly swine flu virus. This shows that the infection can spread between humans to cause community-level outbreaks. Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A (H1N1) influenza viruses that causes regular outbreaks in pigs. This virus can spread from human to human through coughing or sneezing.
Currently 149 people died in Mexico and the virus has now spread to the US, Europe, Canada and New Zealand. In the US there is now 41 confirmed cases.
