With a new female CEO from Google, Yahoo is spending more money into developing mobile apps as people spend more time consuming content on smartphones and tablets. The latest Yahoo Weather iPhone app looks quite good with the ability to show Flickr photo of weather locations. Although iPhone already has a default Yahoo default app, the standalone new app from Yahoo looks better with improved UI and functionality. Check it out and download on iTunes Store for free.

Facebook Home is available for download on Google Play. Facebook Home is currently only available to Android users in the United States and only to those who are using a HTC First, HTC One X, HTC One X+, Samsung Galaxy S III and the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed Facebook Home. Not an OS like iPhone iOS, more like a bunch of apps running on HTC Android smartphone. Mark Zuckerberg described Home as a set of apps running on Google‘s Android operating system which is exactly what it is. Is it groundbreaking? Meh not really…

It will be a HTC smartphone with customised Google Android 4.2 OS. It will have 4.3-inch screen, 5 MP rear camera and 1.6 MP front camera for video calls, and 16 GB of storage. The smartphone will be built into Facebook’s features and services, and is intended to increase user’s mobile access to Facebook.

Will you buy a Facebook phone? Why would you when the market is already saturated with Apple iPhones and Google Android phones.
