Space telescope on the orbiting SoHo observatory, caught comets diving into the sun. Images clearly show a major solar flare from the Sun soon after each impact.
From Discovery: The wayward comets are called sungrazers. They are a class of comet that likes to live dangerously. Sungrazers can skirt within a few thousand miles of the sun’s roiling photosphere. Many are torn apart or evaporate as they streak along at a blazing 1 million miles per hour. As their orbits are perturbed, surviving sungrazers can collide with the sun on a subsequent passage.

US Place 14 Countries On Airport Threat List
Due to recent Christmas security threat incidents on inbound flight to the US, the government has place 14 suspect countries under airport watch. The countries are Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Lebanon and Iraq.
Travellers from these 14 countries flying to the US will go through body pat-downs, advanced screening and property inspections.

TSA Drops Subpoenas Against Bloggers Leaked Airport Security Measures

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is going after bloggers who wrote about a directive to increase security after the incident. You can read the security guide in full at BordingArea.

1. Passengers must remain in seats beginning 1 hour prior to arrival at destination.
2. Passenger access to carry-on baggage is prohibited beginning 1 hour prior to arrival at destination.

Terrorist Attempt May Introduced Full Body Scan

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) launched the installation of millimeter wave whole-body scanners ($150,000 each) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in April 2008.
The images are black and white and bear little resemblance to a photograph. Nevertheless, they clearly display the most intimate curves of the human form and genitalia.
