Microsoft plans to release Office 2007 Service Pack 1 via the company’s automatic update service starting June 16. Just as mySpace has announced a similar way of letting user share profiles, Facebook has came up with Facebook Connect. It will be easier for people to share their favorite pictures, information and applications with family and friends anywhere on the Internet.

From Facebook: This will now enable third party websites to implement and offer even more features of Facebook Platform off of Facebook – similar to features available to third party applications today on Facebook.

Facebook redesigned user profile page, where each user profile will have a Feed, Info, Photos, Wall, and “Boxes” categories. These modifications takes into account several key modifications requested by Facebook users and the developers who create Facebook applications.

Other new features are updated Wall with user created content, new About tab, new Boxes section, new Publisher feature and more. The redesign will appear in the next few weeks.

Microsoft has added tv shows viewing capabilities on its Zune players and also allow users to share their music libraries with friends. Zune is now more sociable by letting users download each other’s nine most recently played songs as well as nine tunes flagged as favorites. You can also download television shows from Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, NBC Universal and other entertainment networks for $1.99 per episode.
