Microsoft is expected to rebrand and relaunch its Windows Live Search to Kumo early 2009. LiveSide.Net has reported Microsoft has taken control over the domain name for kumo.com. Is Microsoft hinting at more cloud computing as Kumo is a Japanese word for “cloud” or “spider”?

Microsoft has recently announced Windows Live with its “next generation unified experience” features by adding a set of new social networking tools and services to its cloud-based software suite.

Microsoft + internet/interactive = doubt. Example: Internet Explorer, Viruses, Hotmail, MSN, Zune; what ever heir Flash killer is called; what ever their online music store was called..all failures compared to competition and other options/services.
