Samsung is not going to use Firefox OS for their smartphone and tablets. This is due to their success as the most popular Android handset maker and also later on Tizen OS.

Previously we have reported that Mozilla is now ready to launch Firefox OS for smartphones. The non-profit company made the announcement at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Mozilla is partnering with 18 network operators and four handset manufacturers to launch devices running its OS mobile operating system. Alcatel, LG and ZTE will be first to build the first Firefox OS devices, with Huawei to follow later in the year.

The first wave of Firefox devices would go on sale beginning in July in Brazil, Colombia, Hungary, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Spain and Venezuela.
