Anti Suicide Nasal Spray
University of Indiana has been given $3 million by the US Army to work on an anti-suicide nasal spray. As the suicide rate among soldiers climbs to the highest levels in history.
The research uses a nasal spray with thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) as an active ingredient which could prevent depression and suicidal urges. If the spray is successful, this will be the fast-acting antidepressant delivery mechanism available now.
