Apple’s Mountain Lion OSX Gains Siri, Facebook Integration And Cost $20
Apple has laid out some more details at the Worldwide Developer’s Conference for Mountain Lion OS X.
Apple’s OS X Mountain Lion will be available in July as a download from the Mac App Store for $20. Mountain Lion will feature more than 200 innovative features including the all new Messages app, Notification Center, system-wide Sharing, Facebook integration, Dictation, Power Nap, AirPlay Mirroring, Game Center and the enhanced security of Gatekeeper. With iCloud built into the foundation of OS X and Siri integration.
Some of the highlights:
Reminders – OS X will show reminders just like on your iOS devices.
Messages – are sync to your Mac from your mobile devices.
AirPlay Mirroring - an easy way to wirelessly send an up-to-1080p secure stream of what’s on your Mac to an HDTV using Apple TV, or send audio to a receiver or speakers that use AirPlay.
Dictation is built into the system just like Siri.
Share buttons – Facebook, Twitter, Messages integration.
Documents in the Cloud – Pages will show documents from the Cloud.
Safari – unified search field, tabs that sync with your devices and iCloud tabs.
Power nap – keeps your Mac updated while machine is sleeping.
Game Center – comes to your Mac and sync with mobile devices.
Final Cut Pro and Aperture – updated.
