Barnes & Noble Banks On New Nook HD And Nook HD+
Barnes & Noble is taking the ebook fight to Amazon, Google and Apple with the unveiling of high definition Nook tablets. The eBook tablets are the $199 7-inch Nook HD tablet and the $269 9-inch Nook HD+.
The 7-inch Nook HD features a high-definition 1440 x 900 display, HD video playback of up to 720p, optical bonding technology with no air gap, 315 grams, 5-inches wide and 20% lighter and nearly a half-inch narrower than rival Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD.
The 9-inch Nook HD+ features a resolution of 1920 x 1280, HD video playback of up to 1080p, 515 grams, 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, a 16GB model for $269 and 32GB model for $299.
