Apple TV Will Include Cable STB, Social Sharing And iOS Interface
The US Patent and Trademark Office has officially granted twenty-nine newly patents for Apple TV. From the document revealed Apple vision for the next generation Apple TV with features such as cable set top box with live and on demand content, user interface from iOS (iPad, iPhone) and social media sharing through Twitter and Facebook.
Apple has recently approached entertainment companies, which own television content, with a proposal of what it wants the new device to do.
Apple MacBook Pro 2012 May Not Be Thinner And No Retina Display
According to the poster on Chinese Forum, WeiPhone, the 15-inch MacBook Pro will not have the thin enclosure as for MacBook Air. The new MBP will have either 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz or 2.7GHz Ivy Bridge processors, a Nvidia’s GeForce GT 650M graphics card with 1GB GDDR5 graphics memory and no Retina Display.
So looks like in today’s WDDC 2012, Apple will announce a new MBP 15 inch which has the same look as the last version.
Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference will be on June 11 in San Francisco. Here is what we think Apple will reveal for WDDC 2012 on Monday:

The rumour of Apple releasing a new thinner MacBook Pro running Intel Ivy Bridge chipset is now more concrete with these leak specifications for 15 inch MBP:
- 0.74 inches thick and weighing 4.7 pounds (almost as thin as MacBook Air)
- four USB 3.0 ports
- 2560×1600 high-resolution Retina
- 16GB of 1600MHz DD3 RAM
- 750GB of hard disk drive space
- AMD Radeon HD 7770M graphics processor
- FaceTime HD camera
- Thunderbolt port
- Bluetooth 4.0
- SDXC card slot
- FireWire and Ethernet port.

Apple Announces New iPod Touch, Nano, and a New Apple TV
At the event held today, Apple has announced updates to iPod Touch, Nano and Apple TV.
The new iPod touch feature the 326ppi “retina display” and Apple A4 processor that powers the iPhone 4. The device will feature Game Center, a front-facing camera with FaceTime capability, a rear-facing camera with HD video recording capability. The iPod touch will also support up to 40 hours of music playback on a single battery charge. The iPod touch will be available in 8 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB models for $229, $299, and $399, respectively. The new iPod Nano has coloured multitouch interface as we have predicted earlier and Apple has removed the click wheel. It features a polished aluminum and glass enclosure with a built-in clip. The new iPod nano features Genius Mixes, the ability to create and edit playlists, a built-in FM radio with live pause and up to 24 hours of music playback on a single battery charge. Apple has reinvented the Apple TV and now it is a quarter of the size of the original. It features an integrated power supply, HDMI output (with 5.1 surround sound support) plus Ethernet and integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, supports the new AirPlay, and able to stream content from an iOS device (like an iPad or iPhone). Apple TV 99 cents TV Rentals
It will not long before Apple announces the new Apple TV which will run on iOS the operating system for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Apple has been in discussion with News Corp. in releasing 99¢ tv shows which can be rented and last for 48 hours.
Apple TV Renamed iTV, Have Apps And Dropped 1080p
A new report indicated that Apple will rename their Apple TV to iTV and it will gain apps but no more support for 1080p. The new A4 CPU and 16GB of flash storage cannot support 1080p. What would Apple use to control the apps? Your iPhone and iPad?
Apple will have a fall event in mid September to release the new iPod and iTV.
Apple TV Will Stream 99 Cents TV Shows
There are rumours that Apple TV will offer 99 cent TV episodes that can be streamed, not downloaded. Currently Apple TV charges $1.99 per TV episodes for download. The new streaming price will compete on par with Hulu+, Netflix and Amazon’s Video On Demand.
Apple TV 3.0 Adds New Main Menu And Internet Radio

Apple has updated the Apple TV software to version 3.0 with these new features: redesigned main menu, internet radio, enhanced HD photo support, Genius Mixes, iTunes LP and iTunes Extras content for albums and movies.
From Apple press release: The redesigned main menu on Apple TV gives you instant access to your favorite content. Recently rented or purchased movies, as well as other content including TV shows, music, podcasts, photos and YouTube, are accessible directly from the new main menu. The new software also allows Apple TV users to enjoy stunning fullscreen iTunes Extras and iTunes LP.
Apple TV Cuts Price, Kills 40GB Version

Apple has slashed $100 off the 160 GB model of the Apple TV and eliminated the 40 GB version of the home media player. Is Apple preparing to reveal a higher end model?
Apple is now selling the 160 GB model for $229 with no shipping fee.
Apple TV 2.3 Firmware Update

Apple has now updated the firmware of Apple TV to version 2.3 and added AirTunes streaming, can now learn universal remotes, can see iTunes playlists and volume control Music.
