Tim Cook Gets $22 Mil For Standing In For Steve Jobs
Apple has given its CEO a bonus valued at $22 million for standing in for Steve Jobs last year on a 6 months medical leave. Cook got a $5 million bonus plus restricted stock award worth roughly $17 million.
Apple IPhone OS 4.0 Will Bring True Multitasking
Apple will bring true multitasking to iPhone OS 4.0 as reported by AppleInsider. This will allow third party apps to run concurrently and in the background.
From AppleInsider: Apple plans to deliver a multi-tasking manager that leverages interface technology already bundled with its Mac OS X operating system, according to those same people. It was requested that specifics be withheld at this time, as the iPhone Software 4.0 remains under development and reportedly has a quite ‘way to go’ before it’s ready for prime time.
HP Flashes Slate To Trump Apple’s iPad
Hewlett-Packard is releasing a tablet PC running Microsoft Windows 7 that is capable of supporting Adobe Flash. HP claims that their tablet will offer a more complete computing experience than Apple’s iPad. At this point in time there are not much details of the technical specifications. Check out the videos.

Valve Will Bring Steam To Macs
Game company Valve, has become a successful digital distribution platform for the PC, has announced today that it’s finally bringing over Steam to Macs. Games such as Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2 will be available to the Mac users. The Steam Play feature will let both Mac and PC users to play online together.
Steam for Mac will launch in April and the launch game will be Portal 2.
Apple iPad Arriving April 3
Apple has announced that the iPads will be available on April 3 and you can pre-order the tablet-like device on March 12. The launch is for the Wi-Fi-only version, with the 3G-enabled device on sale late April.
Both versions will be available in late April for Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K.
Apple Sues HTC Over Patents Infringement
Apple is suing Taiwanese phone maker HTC over iPhone related patents from a legal standpoint. The phones are Nexus One, Touch Pro 2 and other HTC phones that run Google’s Android OS.

Apple Mac OS X Market Share Up 29%
Web statistics company Quantcast released new stats that indicated the market share of Mac OS X in Web use has grown by 29.4% in the last year. Microsoft Windows accounted for 86.8% share of North American. Apple iPhone/iPod Touch accounted for more than 60% of mobile web consumption in January 2010 in North America.
Apple Released New iPhone Ads
Apple this released two new TV adverts. The “On Hold” ad shows you how you can do other things using the iPhone while you are on hold.
The second ad titled “First Steps” shows a mother taking a video footage of her baby taking his first step and later sends the video via MMS and also do a conference call to discuss it.
