Apple has signed agreements with service providers in Europe show that the company can deviate from its insistence on exclusivity. France Telecom’s Orange subsidiary will deliver the iPhone to 10 more countries later this year effectively quadruples Apple’s total addressable market. In Italy, Vodafone and Telecom Italia will market the iPhone. Will these deals affect AT&T exclusive contract in the US?

Apple Sells Movies On DVD Release Date

Apple iTunes Store is now selling new movie releases from major studios and independent film companies on the same day as their DVD releases.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes said, “We’re thrilled to bring iTunes Store customers new films for purchase day-and-date with the DVD release. We think movie fans will love being able to buy their favorites from major and independent studios.”

Apple Updates iMac With Penryn Processor

Apple has updated iMac with faster 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn processor and more powerful ATI Radeon graphcs processor. The three configurations are: a 20-inch 2.4-GHz model ($1,199), a 20-inch 2.66-GHz model, and a 24-inch 2.8- GHz model. The 2.4-GHz iMac comes with an ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT (128-MB memory) while the 2.66-GHz and 2.8-GHz models come with an ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO (256-MB memory).
