Atari Bankrupt And Selling Logo And Assets
Atari’s US operations have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in an effort to separate from their French parent company, Infogrames. The Atari brand is linked with these popular video games such as Pong, Space Invaders, Missile Command and Asteroids.
Atari said the move is necessary to secure investments it needs to grow in mobile and downloadable video games.

Steve Jobs was 19, unwashed and unhappy in his job at Atari. It is a memo written in 1974 from Steve to his boss, Stephen Bristow, suggesting a way of improving Atari’s arcade game World Cup. The handwritten memo is expected to fetch up to $15,000 at auction.
