Toyota Revealed Self Driving Lexus
Toyota will be showcasing and demonstrating self driving vehicles at the Consumer Electronics Show this month. It will be the 2013 Lexus LX equipped with “Intelligent Transport Systems” technology. The device includes a radar for monitoring the road environment as well as a communications system for communicating to other vehicles.
Other manufactures, including Audi, are announcing self driving cars. The car will include features like find a parking space and parking itself without a driver behind the wheel.
Audi A7 Sportback
Audi has shown the Sportback concept for their upcoming Audi A7. This car is essentially a premium, four-door coupe variant of the A6 and will arrive in 2010.
The Sportback name comes from the fastback roofline. The front end gets a shorter version of Audi’s large, vertical grille, and the exterior is dressed up with LED lights front and rear. Specs inside the car, 3.0-liter V-6 TDI, 225 hp, 406 lb-ft, 8-speed automatic and AWD.
