A 60-foot-long whale was discovered still breathing on a New York City beach is likely to die overnight. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration biologist says that the whale is emaciated and in poor physical condition so there is nothing that can be done to save it.
NOAA plans to perform a necropsy after the whale’s death to determine the cause of the whale’s condition.
