Pentagon Game Display Contact Lenses

Pentagon blue sky science and technology division has requested contact lens that provide “first person shooter type video game” environments for the wearer.
Inventors from the University of Washington has already created a flexible contact lens embedded with microcircuits which are use to enhance vision. Future improvements will add wireless communication to and from the lens. The researchers hope to power the whole system using a combination of radio-frequency power and solar cells placed on the lens, Parviz (UW assistant professor of electrical engineering) said.

Bionic Contact Lens

Engineers from the University of Washington have developed contact lens that can display information about all the incoming calls that come on your mobile phone.
An electronic circuit, LEDs and a tiny antenna have been embedded into the contact lenses and these were placed on the rabbit’s eye.
We have seen this used by the Terminator or a visor-less Geordi La Forge from “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”
