Microsoft Ditches Messenger Live For Skype

Microsoft has replaced Messenger Life with Skype. The giant software company paid $8.5bn for Skype. Windows Live Messenger launched at 1999 will be turned off by March 2013 worldwide, with the exception of China. To ease the transition, Microsoft is offering a tool to migrate WLM messenger contacts over.
