Who says Microsoft is not innovative. The big software company is taking a leaf out of Apple’s book in coming up with some well designed accessories for their upcoming Windows 8 and Surface tablet. The ultra compact Wedge Touch Mouse features BlueTrak technology which allows it to work on virtually any surface. Estimated retail price: $69.95.
The Wedge mobile keyboard which has a full-size keyboard in a compact form factor will retail price: $79.95.
The Touch Mouse with updated functionality specifically designed for Windows 8 with new gesture settings to navigate Metro UI. Estimated retail price: $79.95.
Windows 8 Metro Office
Microsoft is thinking about completely reworking its long-standing Microsoft Office to sport the Metro interface from Windows 8. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer hinted “You ought to expect that we are rethinking and working hard on what it would mean to do Office Metro style”.
Metro is the name Microsoft has given the tile and touch-based interface borrowed from Windows Phone 7.
