Apple iPod Designer Pushes Thermostat To The Digital Space

Tony Fadell, a former Apple executive who led iPod and iPhone development formed Nest Labs with former iPhone software manager Matt Rogers. They have created the next generation thermostat. The unique feature of this thermostat is the ability for it to learn. Nest will take 1 week to learn the behaviour of the owner and adjust temperature settings accordingly. The $249 thermostat will ship by the middle of November.
