Osram Sylvania announced a greener option of replacing the common 60W light bulb with a general-purpose LED light designed to replace screw-in incandescent, halogen, or compact fluorescent bulbs. The company is also working on a 75W version.
The new bulb will last 12 times longer than traditional bulb and it will be brighter too.
Osram Sylvania expects to sell the LED bulb, as part of its Ultra line, this August.
