Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Delayed To June 8
Konami have just announced that PSP Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, will be released on June 8 and it also comes with limited edition PSP Entertainment Pack. The game will support adhocParty, which connects PSP systems via a PS3, allowing players to use the game’s multiplayer modes online.
The pack will cost $199 and it will include a green version of a PSP-3000, Peace Walker on UMD, a 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, and a voucher for a free PSN movie.
Sony PSP Firmware 5.50 Available On April 21

Sony will release PlayStation Portable Firmware 5.50 update with Information Board, Internet search in XMB and other improvements.
Feature listed on Sony Blog:
- Memory Stick improvements – You’ll be able to create and access sub-folders on your Memory Stick PRO Duo for music, videos and photos. Separately, the available space required to download a file from PlayStation Store to your Memory Stick has been reduced significantly.
- Internet search for games directly from the XMB – You’ll be able to easily search the Internet for information about your PSP games. Select the icon for the game, hit the Triangle button, and then select [Internet Search] from the options menu to get search results based on the game title. This feature was added to PS3 with the recent 2.70 update.
- Trend Micro trial – PSP’s Internet browser is a great tool for checking out your favorite Web sites on the go, and we’re teaming up with the Internet security experts at Trend Micro to make the Web browsing experience safer and more secure.
Sony Releasing PSP Firmware 5.0.3

Sony will soon release the latest PSP firmware update, v5.03 that improves system software stability during use of some features.

Sony Announces PSP 3000

Sony has announced a new version of Playstation Portable at Leipzig Germany. The new handheld will go on sale in Europe and the US in mid October. So what is new? It will have improved support for Skype, new screen, and a microphone.

Sony PSP Firmware 4.05 will be released soon and it will have new visualizers for music playback and other features.

PSP Firmware 4 Brings Google To XMB
Sony Computer Entertainment next PSP firmware update 4.00 will add Google search function to the handheld’s XMB OS. You will find the Google-powered Internet Search icon under the Network icon in the XMB interface. And with a search history recall of 20 items. Another new feature is the ability to change viewing speed during playback of videos stored on your Memory Stick PRO Duo.

PSP Burn Boy’s Leg

Harold Clay was burned while at school in the Detroit, Michigan suburb of Farmington Hills when the Sony PSP in his pocket spontaneously caught fire and melted on to his leg leaving him with second degree burns.
