Steam Gaming Service For Mac OS X Out
Mac gamers can finally join their PC users in gaming via Steam which is now available for Apple Mac OS X. Steam has offered Portal game for free until May 24th.
From Steam blog: Steam has been a service exclusively for PC users since we launched it in 2004. For the first time we and our partners are bringing it to another platform. It’s been a ton of work, but the Mac is great for the same reason the PC is great – they are both open systems that let gamers and game developers be as close as possible.
So check it out. If you have a Mac and are new to Steam, welcome! If you’ve been with us since the beginning, borrow a Mac and log into your Steam account and jump into a game. And for everybody, Portal is free from today until the 24th.
Valve Will Bring Steam To Macs
Game company Valve, has become a successful digital distribution platform for the PC, has announced today that it’s finally bringing over Steam to Macs. Games such as Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2 will be available to the Mac users. The Steam Play feature will let both Mac and PC users to play online together.
Steam for Mac will launch in April and the launch game will be Portal 2.
