Tesla Announced Superchargers Station For Model S Electric Cars
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, has announced the Superchargers charge-ups station and it will be available free for Model S drivers. The Supercharger rapid car charging network will initially be available in six locations throughout California. It will be powered by solar technology, developed by solar installer SolarCity.
The Superchargers stations can charge the Model S automobile with 100 KW of power and provide three hours of driving at 60 mph in about half an hour.
Tesla Launches Electric Car
Tesla Motors began its landmark launch of the electric Model-S sedan. The first 1200 S Models to be delivered will have 85-kwh batteries, and later come the 60-kwh versions, eventually followed by the 40-kwh versions. Tesla will also be offering demos over the next 45 days in its Get Amped Model S Tour.
The battery-electric car, will sell for $50,000 to over $100,000.
