Nintendo Wii Classic Controller Pro
Nintendo is releasing Wii Classic Controller Pro in the US. It will be included with Monster Hunter Tri or sold separately for $20. Comes in either black or white and the controller connects to the Wii Remote.
Wii Gets Netflix Streaming Video
Nintendo and Netflix will bring streaming movies to yout TV sets via the Wii console. The service will be available this spring. Netflix streaming service will be free to the more than 11.1 million customers who already subscribe to Netflix’s movie rental service.
The downside to the Wii is that it only runs at 480p while XBox 360 and PS3 can run at higher resolution.
Nintendo Wii Sales Slump in Thanksgiving Week
Nintendo U.S. sales of its Wii console during Thanksgiving week slumped after a 20% price reduction for the game console failed to spur demand. Nintendo only sold 550,000 Wiis in the US during the November 22-28 period.
Nintendo Wii has fallen behind Sony’s PS3 and Microsoft’s XBox 360.
New Super Mario Bros Reviewed
New Super Mario Bros. Wii offers a combination of cooperation and competition. Players can pick each other up to save them from danger or toss them into it. Mario, Luigi and two Toads are all playable characters, while many others from the Mushroom Kingdom make appearances throughout the game. Players can even ride different Yoshi characters and use their tongues to swallow enemies, items and even balls of fire. In some areas, players use the motion abilities of the Wii Remote controller.
1Up (100/100): For every developer or publisher who’s ever dreamed of pushing beyond the demographic limitations of “hardcore” or “casual” gamers, here is how you do it. And were that universal appeal NSMB Wii’s sole achievement, it would be one of the most important games in recent memory. But, no: It’s also ridiculously fun.
IGN (94/100): Delivers riotous entertainment in spades. As a solo experience, it’s up there with Mario’s illustrious platform predecessors; with four players in tow, it’s breathtaking in its constantly hilarious chaos.

Nintendo Wii Struggling In 2009
Nintendo is hurting and the company reported weaker than expected earnings for its fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 2009. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said, The Wii has stalled. We sensed that the market mood was cooling off in the spring. But frankly, we hadn’t expected to get as bad as it did by summer.

Wii Price Cut To $199
We have announced this previously and looks like it is correct, the Wii will be slashed to $199 to compete with PS3 and XBox 360. The $50 price cut to the Wii, is effective this Sunday, September 27.
The Wii bundle will be the same with a copy of Wii Sports video game, one controller, a Nunchuk controller add-on and wireless sensor bar.
Florida Drug Cops Play Wii During Raid
After storming into the home of Michael Difalco, a convicted drug dealer, Florida undercover drug investigators were caught by security camera playing bowling on Nintendo Wii.

Toys R Us ad that shows the price cut of the Nintendo Wii to $199 for September 27th. Is this correct as the price cut is not confirmed by Nintendo.

Nintendo Makes Wii Internet Channel Free Again
When the Wii Internet Channel first came out it was a freeware but later the company slap on a 500 Wii Points ($5) for the application. The Internet Channel uses Opera browser.
Now it is free. From Nintendo: Starting at the end of October, consumers who have previously exchanged 500 Wii Points to download the Internet Channel will be able to download, at no cost, one NES game of their choice valued at 500 Wii Points from Virtual Console.
